Novem-beard!

So November just flew by....there is so much that has happened this last month and I am thankful for all of it. To begin, Nathan took the No-Shave-November oath. I bet him that he would last two weeks tops....I guess I owe him a milkshake now. 30 days with a full on beard!!! At first it was hard to kiss him goodnight or goodbye, because it tickled so much. However I think that it took Nathan longer to get use to how itchy it was. Look at these pictures I had a totally different looking husband! Fun, but I think we both are a little thankful that the Novem-beard is over :)

December 1 12:01am (he couldn't wait any longer!)

Another thing I had to be thankful for was on the 18th. This is the day that Nathan proposed to me <3 I remember going to dinner that night and after returning to my parents house he surprised me with new outfits for our build-a-bears that we had made for each other. They were so cutely dressed in wedding attire! Then after Nathan told me how much he loved me and that he wanted to spend eternity with me, he got down on one knee and proposed! It was perfect!

Well speaking of engagements, my brother Ryan surprised us all with his proposal to Morgan! The two of them have been dating for a few months now and they decided to tie the knot! On the 22nd Ryan sent Morgan to pamper herself for the day before sending me to pick her up to bring her to her final destination where he would propose. Of course she didn't get to see where we were going at first, but I think she was just happy to see my brother there when we finally took off the blindfold! Ryan was so creative and thoughtful with his proposal and I know Morgan loved it! It was fun for Nathan and I to help out with the pictures and the driving :) We are so excited to have another girl in the family and I can't wait to have a sister! Congrats Ryan and Morgan! We Love You!
On top of all that it has just been great to see both families for the holidays. Nathan and I are so thankful to have them in our lives and for all they do to support us. We love our families and are grateful for all our friends too! Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Now we are trying to get the house ready for Christmas and get all the shopping done :) But I think this is our favorite holiday so we look forward to all the decorating and wrapping! Wish us Good Luck

SpoOk-tob-ular!

October....fall, pumpkins, and candy! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I just wanted to share some of the fun things we have been doing this month to celebrate. Of course I had to dress up our little apartment with some cute decorations to get us in the mind set for Halloween. I have strung up purple and orange lights around the windows and hung spiders (made out of tootsie pops) from the ceiling. Then to attract some trick-or-treaters to our apartment, clear up on the third floor I hung outside a witch who has made a crash landing thru our roof.....her legs dangle down that our neighbors have to kinda squeeze past her. They are so nice to let us get a little carried away with our decorating (but wait till they see the Christmas lights this year ). I just love decorating for the holidays! My favorite piece this year is a cute little witch with a frog that my mom made for me with her friends. It so darling and I will be so happy to get it out in years to come.
Well apart from decorating, Nathan and I have been trying to watch all the Halloween themed movies. We started with some of our old favorites as kids by watching the Disney Channel original movies like: "Underwraps", "Don't Look Under the Bed", "Twitches" and "Twitches Too". Ok so those last two were more for me than Nathan, but we have really enjoyed watching these shows since it has been years! Actually I am amazed I didn't have nightmares from a couple of scenes and even the Almonds had to agree. I still have some classic movies that I watch every year because they are awesome: #1 "Hocus Pocus", #2 "Clue", and #3 "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (my mom had my brother and I grow up with this one).

Well we haven't spent the whole month just watching Halloween specials, our friends all got together to play a scary game to amp us up for our trip to a Haunted attraction. Thanks to our friend Jared who introduced us to this free game, IT is SO Scary! Its called Slender, we had some much fun one evening having each person try to collect all eight pages before the Slender man gets you. It was hilarious to watch the player jump as slender appeared out of no where. Actually I think its more scary as we are all sitting around watching and screaming at the player. This year the Haunted Mill was supposed to have slender man appear, so we decided to make a trip up there to get scared! We met with the whole gang and ate at Red Robin in Idaho Falls before heading the rest of the way to the Haunted Mill. It was crowded and we had a larger group that we had to split into three smaller ones. It was a challenge to decide which one I would be in, because I am the "screamer" of our friends. I jump so easily and I seemed to be the target of everything that 'popped' out. It was super fun and I really enjoyed myself even if I did scream a lot. It is our favorite haunted attraction and we will be going next year again!

Cute Halloween tree with
Ornaments from my mom.

Usually for Halloween we have a big themed Halloween party. In the past couple years we have done a Murder Mystery dinner and a Harry Potter party. I love it and it is hilarious to see people get into character! (Derek even used powder sugar as a prop! Way to sell it Derek. And Jared, even though he wasn't into the Harry Potter one, he still came as a Muggle :) ) This year we are going to be carving pumpkins and watching horror films! I will post pictures of how they turn out along with our costumes this year. :)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
